General Education

Why professional general education are urgently needed in Myanmar

Our department was founded in 2014. At first, two subjects, Myanmarsar and General Education, English Subject, were included in the department. In 2015, ICT subject catagorised as a General Education subject. Myanmarsar and General Education subjects are now changed as Myanmar Language & Social Skills subject. So General Education Department is made up of teachers from three subject, Myanmar Language & Social Skills, English and ICT subject. GE can be considered as an essential department which is supportive to all apprentices from different professions to so that they could achieve effective life skills, language and ICT competence

General Education Department Activities

GE department arranges seminars for CVT apprentices so that they could improve their general workplace safety awareness, HIV/AIDS and Human Trafficking awareness, Environmental awareness, Sexual Harassment at workplace and so on. Here, the seminars are conducted by distinguished speakers and experts from respective fields. GE department takes responsibilities for organizing school social events such as Art Competitions and entertainments.

Myanmar Language & Social Skills (Soft Skills )

The commercial school classes take place once a week. The curriculum includes the following subjects:

  • Social Communication in Business
  • Etiquette
  • Ethics
  • Customer Services
  • Presentation
